Methodologies. Intervention contexts and themes of the line.
The aim of the work we do in this line of research is to contribute to improving tools and processes for collecting and analysing data, with a view to using them in all GREDI’s areas of interest and action. Our sub-lines include:
- Feminist research methodology. Rethinking forms of acquiring knowledge on the basis of feminist epistemologies’ criticisms of the androcentric and sexist biases of positivist knowledge production practices. SIMReF (simref.net), a multidisciplinary interuniversity team coordinated by a member of GREDI, contributes to some of this sub-line’s projects and publications.
- Participatory methodologies. Reflecting on the generation of collective knowledge with the participation of local and/or education communities.
- Methodologies for a globalized society. Analysing the methodological challenges that a networked society poses, and the opportunities its configuration and tools entail for research.
