Interculturalism Intervention contexts
and research themes.
The group’s areas of study within this line of research have gradually extended from education to the context of communities, organizations and institutions, to offer relevant responses to the challenge of inclusion and social cohesion. On that basis, the main issues GREDI addresses include:
- Managing diversity in the education system, social organizations and administration bodies, offering action proposals, advice and empirically validated resources, based on an intercultural model.
- Constructing inclusive intercultural contexts with a community dimension, developing substantive contents and practical transfer activities.
- Identity development for social cohesion in environments characterized by common multicultural physical and virtual networks.
- The process of integrating diverse groups(migrants, natives, youngsters and adults, women) with a view to developing socially relevant policies, products and/or measures.
- Managing religious diversityin the public sphere to encourage interreligious and intercultural dialogue.
- Developing intercultural skills in organizations (both private enterprises and public administration bodies).
- Guidance in multicultural contexts.
