Valèria Sivera

Valèria Sivera Escobedo graduated in Philosophy from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2019). She has studied the Master of Contemporary Thought and Classical Tradition at the Universitat de Barcelona, with a Contemporary Thought itinerary (2020). Since 2020, she is a PhD student at the Facultat de Filosofia of the Universitat de Barcelona, and she is preparing her thesis under the direction of Professor Josep Maria Esquirol. At the same time, she is a member of the Aporia Research Group. Her field of study is contemporary philosophy of the 19th and 20th centuries; particularly, she has studied authors such as F. Nietzsche and J.-P. Sartre, with respect to which she maintains a great interest. Her doctoral thesis deals with the thought of S. Kofman, taking into account his unique reading of the texts of F. Nietzsche and S. Freud.
