Raquel Alquézar receives the II ICA Prize
From GER we congratulate Raquel Alquézar, one of the main members of the Grup d’Estudis sobre Reciprocitat (Study Group on Reciprocity).
In December 2023, she received the II Premi ICA (II Catalan Institute of Anthropology Research Award) 2023 Edition for the work “L’economia Social i Solidària i les Finances Ètiques: Entre el Valor Social i el Valor de Mercat” (Social and Solidarity Economy and Ethical Finance: Between Social Value and Market Value) from Raquel Alquézar Crusellas.
The editing process of the book to be published is now in preparation.
The Jury made up of Josefina Roma Riu, Professor Emeritus of the Department of Anthropology of the University of Barcelona, Josep M. Comelles, Professor Emeritus of Social Anthropology of the University Rovira i Virgili and Joan Lluís Alegret, Professor Emeritus of the University of Girona wrote some few words we share here with you:
“La problemática descrita desde una perspectiva etnográfica hace referencia a nuevas formas de actividad económica que pueden considerarse alternativas a la economía clásica basada en sociedades de capital. La evaluación de estas experiencias a partir de la observación participante no sólo contribuye a su conocimiento, sino que abre las puertas a procedimientos de evaluación poco representados en las empresas actuales. El trabajo demuestra un buen conocimiento teórico con una destacada capacidad narrativa.”
