Pastorxs en Resistencia. El oficio hoy en Cataluña is an ethnographic documentary produced by Racons Recorreguts, filmed between September and December 2022 in Barcelona and Girona. It tells the story of a shepherdess and three shepherds who struggle to continue with the profession of pastor despite the political and economic impediments of the society where they live and how they affect bureaucracy and public policies in their profession.
This film by filmmaker Paula Escribano is shot in both Spanish and Catalan with subtitles in English and Spanish. Travel through mountains, valleys and forests with herds of goats and sheep to discover how the art of grazing is at risk of disappearing.
The documentary will be broadcast in person and online at the International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague on February 8 at 1:00 p.m.
And also, in Cerdanyola del Vallès on February 14 at 6 p.m. in person. The screening will be followed by a debate with the director.
