Europe and the extraction-exploitation nexus

Studying systemic social reproduction in times of environmental crisis

GER invites you to the conference Europe and the extraction-explotation nexus: studying systemic social reproduction in times of environmental crisis.

The event will focus on exploring and analyzing the environmental crisis as an expression of the relationship between capital, labor and nature. Over two days, participants will address the contemporary manifestations of this relationship focusing on the connections between different contemporary extractivisms and the exploitation of human and more than human nature in a European context.

The conference will take place on June 28 and 29 in the board room (Sala de Juntes) of the Geography and History Faculty of Universitat de Barcelona (Barcelona University) at Carrer de Montalegre 6.

Registration is free. For each day’s meal, a free menu will be offered for up to 40 participants, so please take one minute to register using this form.
