The Biblioteca de Catalunya has published in the Digital Memory of Catalonia (MDC) two new collections related to Josep Aparici i Fins (1654-1731), royal geographer and trader.
- Aparici’s cadastre: is a collection of documents that gathers data that he collected as a result of the implementation of the cadastre, especially in the provinces of Lleida and Tarragona, from 1714 until 1718..
- Josep Aparici’s collection: includes documentation that is part of Baró de Castellet’s collection which he had entered the Archives de l’Hospital de la Santa Creu 1831. Most of the collection corresponds to the professional activities of Josep Aparici, who prepared a 1720 known map devoted to the king Felipe V: Nueva descripción geographica del principado de Cataluña.
