Five exhibitions of ancient cartograpy for this autumn

We propose you for this autumn five exhibitions of ancient cartography: 

Guadalquivir. Mapas y Relatos de un Río. Imagen y Mirada

The General Archive of Indias (Sevilla) welcomes this exhibition, that it takes places because of the 90th anniversary of  the Hydrographic Confederation of Hidrográfica del Guadalquivir, from October, 10 to March, 18. 

It is complemented with a virtual exhibition of ExpoBus.

Catalunya als mapes dels segles XVII i XVIII

Exhibition room of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Biblioteca de Comunicació i Hemeroteca General) from October, 23 to December, 15.

The exhibitions makes a chronological travel for the representations of the territory of Catalonia and Barcelona from a selection of maps and views from the Martí Gelabertó Collection of ancient maps of Cartoteca General, created with the donation of the historian Martí Gelabertó.

Cartografías de lo desconocido. Mapas en la BNE

The Spanish National Library (Sala Recoletos, Madrid) shows, from November, 3 to January, 28, a exhibition of more than 200 works of invaluable value about the ancient cartographic world.  

It offers also a serie of videos and a gallery of images.

Ecúmene: La evolución de la imagen del Mundo

The National Geogrpahic (Casa del Mapa, Madrid) shows until April, 6 of 2018, a chronological serie of cartographic documents that ilustrarte the changes, through 2.500 years, about the world image.
