Now it is possible to send proposals with the aim of participating in the 27 International Conference on the History of Cartography (ICHC), that it will take place in Belo Horizonte (Brasil) since 9 to 14 de julio of 2017.

The ICHC are promoted by the journal Imago Mundi, who organized them in collaboration with local institutions. The ICHC are celebrated each two years and are considered as the event more important focused on promoting the knowledge of maps history and cartographic techniques, whatever it is the theme, language, geographic region or period.  

It can be presented whatever work related to history of cartography. Organizing committee emphasizes as main issue papers related to cartographic practices in New World, urban cartography like a register of growth or like a mechanism of creating to create an image; the cartography made by native, national cartography and the cartography of natural resources. 

Proposals and presentations must be in English. Look at here for instructions.
