The next edition of the International Conference on the History of Cartography (ICHC) is underway, organized by Imago Mundi Ltd. in collaboration with the National Museum of Maps and Old Books in Bucharest and the University of Bucharest. It will take place on July 4-9, 2021 and is titled Conflict and Cartography.
The deadline for submitting proposals for individual papers, special sessions, participatory workshops and poster presentations has been opened. This year, the conference themes are:
- Imperial and Anti-Imperial Cartographies
- Frontier Cartographies
- Cartographies of Nostalgia and Imagination
- Cartographies of Difference and Map Consumption
- Any other aspect of the history of cartography
The deadline for submitting proposals is Monday, October 5, 2020. Applicants will be notified of the acceptance or rejection of their proposal before January 25, 2021.
