Awesome restoration of a map from XVIIth century

The video shows the restoration of a map found inside a chimney in Aberdeen, Northeastern of Scotland.

The protagonist is the curator of National Library of Scotland (NLS) Claire Thomson, that cleans and rebuilds, with niceness and paciente, a world map of 2,2 x 1,6m impressed by Gerald Valck at the end of XVIIth century. About this map, there are only two copies more.

The case explains with detail in the last number of Discover journal that NLS publishes. You can find a video more complete and with explanations here.

We have seen this video being commented in Microsiervos and in the  BBC channel.
