The annual simposium of the International Society for the History of the Map (ISHMap) this year las by title Survey, State, Map.

It will take place in June, from 21 to 23 in the Osher Map Library and Smith Center for Cartographic Education, at the University of Southern Maine.

The theme has any aspect of history of cartography. This year, organizers has asked for contributions focusing on at least two words of the title. Main themes will be, then, relate to theme cartography, census cartography, topographic cartography, border cartography, cadastral cartography…
