Journeys about inStanford about gender, sexuality and cartography

In October, from 10th to 12th of 2019, the Second biennial Barry Lawrence Ruderman Conference on Cartography will take place at the David Rumsey Map Center in Stanford.

In this edition, the theme will be focused on the relationship between gender, sexuality and cartography. The most part of speakers are experts in maps and cartographic production and their presentations will include questions such as the draw of spatial distribution of masculinity in the French Vietnam, women in American history of cartography, gender of cartographic language in medieval texts, digital cartography of homosexual spaces and more.
