The next April 3 it will take place in the Assembly Hall of Instituto Geográfico Nacional, the V Workshop of Special Comission on Geographical Names, titled «Tradición y autoridad en los Nombres Geográficos. El Real Decreto de 27 de junio de 1916», in the conmemoration of the recent centenary of Royal Decree by which the official names of 573 municipalities of Spain were modified.

The programme, that starts at 09:15 and ends at 18:00, with a break for eating, has in total eleven lectures imparted by specialists in the field.

This workshop, organized by the Special Comission on Geographical Names and the Instituto Geográfico Nacional, with the collaboration of Real Sociedad Geográfica, is  directed to public in general with interest in treating geographical names. Attendance is free with previous registration until complete seating.
