Between 20 and 22 of April it will take place in Riga (Lituania) the meeting about digital technology applied to Cartographic Heritage Cartographic Heritage into the Digital that every year the International Cartography Association (ICA) organizes ,in which Carme Montaner participates as part of the Scientific Committee.
The edition of this year, called 11th ICA Conference on Digital Approaches to Cartographic Heritage, will gather more than 80 participants from 70 institutions of 27 countries of Europe, USA, China and Japan. They are planned 53 oral presentations in 8 work sessions related to standard of data exchanging and models of metadata, geometric analysis and thematic content, sources of textual and cartographic archives, digitalization and georreferenciation, visualization and distribution of ancient maps on Internet, 3D visualization, making of otophotos of ancient aerial photos, etc. Download the plan here.
