Martin Renes
Gemma López teaches English Literature at the Department of English and German, Facultat de Filologia (UB). Her research interests focus on contemporary British fiction, cosmopolitanism and film studies. She has published widely in these areas. She is the author of Seductions in Narrative: Subjectivity and Desire in the Works of Angela Carter and Jeanette Winterson (Cambria Press, 2007). Her other publications include articles on Ali Smith, Zadie Smith, Ian McEwan, and Angela Carter. More recently, she has also published articles on the representation of cities in contemporary films. She was a member of the research projects “Humpty Dumpty on the Wall: Transnacionalismo y frontera en el cine contemporáneo” (2011-2013) and “From Transnationalism to Cosmopolitanism: A Methodology” (2014-2017). She is a member of teaching innovation group INDAGAnglès. |
