End of thirteenth century. Tombstone of the abbess Inés, of the monastery of Clares of San Antonio and Santa Clara of Barcelona, where her life of saintliness and miracles is affirmed, as well as the devotion and fame that she enjoyed in life and after her death.
Translation
Here lies buried the Saint virgin Inés, who for more than 47 years was the first abbess, who, both at her death and after it, shone gloriously through her miracles, as she also sparkled with saintliness of life and great fame whilst she lived. She died in the year of our Lord 1281, Wednesday 17th September.
Transcription
Hic est sepulta sancta virgo Agnes que / huius monasterii per XLVII annos et amplius prima / abbatissa existens tanto in morte est post glori- / -ose coruscavit miraculis quanto dum viveret sancti- / -tate vite et claritate fame prefulsit. Obiit autem / anno Domini Mº CCº LXXXIº XV kalendas octubris feria IIIIª.
