The Beato of Girona is a miniature manuscript of 284 pages, written in visigothic script in two columns. It is, like all the Beatos, a Commentary on the Apocalypse made by Beato de Liébana. It contains 115 miniatures, many taking up a whole page. The style shows the skill and subtlety of the miniaturist or illuminator, and is one of the most illustrated Beatos and of the best to have survived to our day.
