The “Serra i Moret case” (as it was known in the political environment) was the political affair starred by the Catalan socialist politician and second vice president of the Parliament of Catalonia, Manuel Serra i Moret (1884-1963), by assuming the interim presidency of the Parliament of Catalonia in 1950, after the death of Rovira i Virgili, and, four years later, the interim presidency of the Generalitat of Catalonia, following the resignation of Josep Irla (always standing up for the legality established in the Statute of Catalonia).
