Published the study “Translations as a tool for cultural modernization: thought and essay in Edicions 62 (1962-1975)” by the professor of the Cerles Santacana Section in issue 20 of the journal Treballs de la Societat Catalana de Llengua i Literatura published by the Institut d’Estudis Catalans.
The article is part of a broader research that seeks to analyze the Catalan culture of the late Franco era and, in particular, the transition from a resistance approach to a new and more dynamic orienatta to affect public debate.
Specifically, the article focuses on an overview of the publishing initiatives of the late 60s and, specifically, in the case of Edicions 62 and its commitment to the publication of essays on contemporary thought, in several collections, proposing an analysis that takes into account both the quantitative and the qualitative element. Finally, the article leaves the way open for further research, proposing the study of the reception of published works.
