The study analyzes one of the mechanisms of the Francoist state to generate and massively transmit its cultural and political imaginary. This purpose is specified in the analysis of the information processing carried out by the NO-DO, an official documentary of compulsory insertion in cinemas, in relation to Catalan society during the developmental stage. Reviewing the more than 800 news items broadcast, it is clear which topics were the most recurring, which was the predominant discourse and which characters appeared most commonly. In short, what image they wanted to project of Catalonia and the Catalans.
