Born out in 1989, the Cultural Management Program of the University of Barcelona is one of the most established and well-known of the continent. It is structured around three main pillars:
- EDUCATION “Training committed and competitive professionals”
One PhD programme, 1 Master’s degrees, 2 Postgraduate courses and a wide range of short lifelong training courses in the different fields of cultural mediation: financing, venue management, project planning, cultural marketing and communication, international cooperation, cultural policies, cultural tourism. 2.000 professionals coming from 75 different countries have taken part as professors or participants in our programmes. - RESEARCH “Making research advance in cultural management and policy”
Academic and applied research at the service of cultural institutions, enterprises and programmes, at the crossroads between economics, anthropology, political science and law. The research team, professors, PhD students or consultants have extensive experience in participating in research programs at the local, national and international level. - PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY “We believe in professional networks and active participation” Organization and coordination of conferences, debates and congresses; dinamization of websites addressed to professionals (Ibero-American Portal of Cultural Management, Profestival, Blogosfera Cultural, Cultural Box …), social networks and official blog.

Most of the program’s activities, as well as classroom education, are held in Barcelona, a unique city thanks to its dynamism and innovation capacity of its actors, experiences and cultural organizations.
