Rosa Ortiz Monera.

Lecturer of the Department of Sociology at the Universitat de Barcelona. PhD in Sociology from the UB; Degree in Economics from the UPF (Barcelona); Official Master in Women, Gender and Citizenship Studies from the IIEDG (Interuniversity Institute of Women and Gender Studies) coordinated by the UB; and Postgraduate in Development Cooperation from the UAB. Member of the Consolidated Research Group (SGR-1145 2017-2021) Copolis “Well-being, Community and Social Control”, and the Consolidated Teaching Innovation Group (GIDC-UB-140/13) CEFOCID-COPOLIS attached at the University of Barcelona. Her professional experience is developed in the field of International Cooperation for Development working in several national and international NGODs, having lived three years in Ecuador. She was especially dedicated to solidarity economy projects and gender in development. Her research interests focus on the economics of healing, feminist analysis of global processes and neoliberal policies and gender in development. She is involved in social movements within the field of feminism and development. She currently co-directs the Master on Families and Society and the Postgraduate Specialization in Gender, Family Diversity and Exclusions of the University of Barcelona, as well as coordinates the Postgraduate in Gender Equality Policies in Public Management of the IEEDG with the support of the Catalan Institute of Women and the School of Public Administration of Catalonia. She is also a member of the International Thematic Network of Research on Single Parent Families (TIIFAMO Network).
