Juan Carlos Palacio Cívico.
Associate professor in the Department of Economic History, Institutions, Politics and World Economy at the University of Barcelona. He holds a PHD in Economics from the same university and is a member of the Consolidated Research Group (SGR-1145 2017-2021) Copolis “Welfare, Community and Social Control”, and of the Consolidated Teaching Innovation Group in Economic, Political and Social History (GINDOC-UB / 050), belonging to the University of Barcelona. His main research areas are: economic and social inequality, development, economic growth, development cooperation, Cuban economy and democracy and transitional justice. Several of his articles have been published in JCR academic journals such as the CEPAL Review or Growth and Change. Likewise, he has published several book chapters and participated in international conferences on such topics. Related to his areas of specialization, he has participated in the Cuba-European Union Expert Exchange Program, financed by the European Commission, and collaborated with the Ibero-American General Secretariat, in the elaboration of the Informe de Cooperación Sur-Sur en Iberoamérica 2019.
