Although the project is not a direct continuation of any previous one, the background and previous contributions of the research team show a high relationship with the theme and objectives presented.
The people of the research team come from various areas of knowledge, with proven specialization and scientific trajectory in the proposed theme, and that allow a multidisciplinary approach to the object of study. Specifically, from the areas of Sociology, Economy (cooperation and development), Business (Organization of social and health institutions), Social Psychology and Demography. Likewise, among the members of the team, some come from various universities, which favors the wealth and potential for internationalization.
In the last 10 years, the people of the research team have participated in 46 international and national research projects of competitive calls and, in 18 contracts or agreements with the public administration. Previous publications directly related to the theme of the project have emerged from there.
Finally, it is worth highlighting the relationship of the research team with other national and international groups that are related to the theme of the project. Firstly, with the International Network for Comparative Analysis of Social Inequalities, the Gender, Citizenship and Policy network of excellence, financed by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. And, as a result of the research carried out, it maintains close research relations with: The International Thematic Network for Research on Single-Parent Families (TIIFAMO) that we coordinate; Gestational Surrogacy Research Network’s.; European Transforming Care Network; and the Working Group on Care of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences.
