UPDATE: Appointment of the new Secretary of the Organ and incorporation of new members

We are pleased to inform you that in December 2023, new members with profiles of interest have been incorporated into the Bioethics Commission of the University of Barcelona, to whom we extend a warm welcome. The new additions are the following:

• Dr. Cristina Larrea Killinger is a full professor at the Department of Social Anthropology of the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Barcelona.
• Dr. Pedro Gallo De Puelles is an associate professor at the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Barcelona.
• Dr. Nuria Fuentes-Peláez is a full professor at the Department of Research Methods and Diagnosis in Education of the Faculty of Education of the University of Barcelona.
• Dr. Joan-Josep Vallbé Fernàndez is an associate professor at the Department of Political Science, Constitutional Law, and Philosophy of Law of the Faculty of Law of the University of Barcelona.

We would also like to extend a belated welcome to the members who joined in January 2023:

• Dr. José Luís Condom Bosch is a full professor at the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Barcelona.
• Dr. Núria Gavara Casas is a lecturer professor at the Department of Biomedicine of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona.

In addition, Dr. Lidia Sanchez Moral has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Commission, replacing the current Secretary, Dr. Ignasi Labastida.

Dr. Lidia Sanchez Moral holds a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Barcelona and a Ph.D. in Biomedicine from the same university, with her research carried out at IDIBAPS – Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. Since May 2023, she has been serving as a technical manager at the Technical Office of the Bioethics Commission of the University of Barcelona (CBUB).
