The MA Programme in Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities (CRIC), in collaboration with the Contemporary British Theatre Barcelona Research Group (CBTBarcelona) and Teatre Lliure, is hosting the 4th edition of the awards for the best BA and MA dissertations in contemporary theatre studies.
The award ceremony for the best BA and MA dissertations (TFG and TFM) will take place as part of the CRIC Master’s Programme academic course inauguration and will consist of three parts. The event will open with the plenary session “Universal Intimacy,” presented by psychologist, director, and playwright Clàudia Cedó, founder of Escenaris Especials—a project aimed at showcasing the real diversity within our society on stage. Following this, the 4th annual CRIC-Teatre Lliure-CBTBarcelona awards will be given to the best undergraduate and master’s theses in contemporary theatre. The event will conclude with the launch of the book De la clínica a l’escena. La reescriptura de la histèria a Portrait de Dora d’Hélène Cixous, by Alba Palau Centelles, winner of the third edition of the prize, and published by Edicions UB.

This event is organised with the support of the Faculty of Philology and Communication, the Vice Chancellor for Research of the University of Barcelona and the Fundació Teatre Lliure – Teatre Públic de Barcelona, and with the collaboration of ADHUC – Research Center for Theory, Gender and Sexuality.
The award ceremony was held at Teatre Lliure on 5 November 2024 and the winners were:
- Best BA dissertation: null
- Best MA dissertation: Mireia Serrano Grané, “Sense voler – Resistències corporals envers la lògica del rendiment a través de les pràctiques artístiques contemporànies” (supervisor: Víctor Ramírez Tur).
