The Summer School on Management of Creativity celebrates this year its thirteen edition, the second fully online, once again offering the opportunity to explore and compare the creative ecosystems of Montreal and Barcelona.
Launched in 2009, the Summer School has inspired the creation of other schools on management of creativity and innovation in Europe, South America and Asia, and is considered as the international reference in the field of management of creativity and innovation. Following the success of the online edition organized in 2020, HEC Montréal and the University of Barcelona will jointly coordinate a new exceptional online edition with a special focus on the theme “Resilience & Creativity”.
The programme is designed around the ability of ecosystems to react to crises, to be agile, to regenerate themselves, and to implement new forms of value creation. A particular focus will be on how the cities of Montreal and Barcelona, hard hit by the crisis, are implementing creative solutions in a wide variety of sectors such as health, mobility, arts and culture, and tourism.
“The experience of the Summer School is one in a lifetime: it combines innovative learning, creation, and knowledge transfer” — explained professor Montserrat Pareja-Eastaway, academic coordinator for the University of Barcelona. “The School contributes to the creation of a long lasting community formed by those professionals, students and academics that have participated over the last editions. It is an investment in your professional future that will last forever. You won’t regret it!” — she added.
The programme is aimed at graduate students, decision-makers, university professors, consultants and professionals who wish to fast-track and fine-tune their creative skills; rethink, reinvent and rebuild their business models; unleash their creativity; make inroads into various global markets and build their international network.
The application deadline for students is April 1st, 2021, while professionals may apply until May 1st, 2021. Master and PhD students from the University of Barcelona seeking financial aid may apply for one of the scholarships available. Priority will be given to those applicants working on a topic clearly related to the summer school.
