The UB Business School welcomes a new cohort of 20 new MSc in Business Research students from around the world. 45% of the students are from Europe, with 30% from the Americas, 15% from Asia and 10% from Africa and Middle East. Overall, eight different nationalities are represented.
Background disciplines include Business (30%), Economics (30%), Communication (15%), Engineering (15%), Industrial Relations (5%) and Tourism (5%). Students have previously studied at universities such as Universidad de Buenos Aires, University of Barcelona, Autonomous University of Barcelona, Pompeu Fafra University, ESADE, University of Los Andes and University of Jordan.
The gender breakdown within the MSc in Business Researchh class of 2019 is 65% of male students and 35% of female students. On the other hand, the average age of students is 35 years old. The age group profile of students is slightly in favour of the ‘under 30’ group, which accounts for 40% of all students, followed by students between 41 and 50 years old (35%) and students between 31 and 40 years old (25%).
The director of the programme, Dr. Josep Maria Argilés Bosch, welcomed the new cohort of students on October 2nd, 2018. The MSc in Business Research is a one-year programme which provides students with advanced training in the research skills, techniques and methodologies to conduct their own research in business. The programme can also be taken part-time over two years.
