Former Executive MBA student and Business Process Leader at Click-IT Technologies Cristóbal Avilés has recently joined the team of lecturers at the Universitat de Barcelona Business School. He will walk into the same classrooms where he was once a student, but now as a lecturer.
When he started studying the programme he had already 15 year of experience, but he acknowledges that the course allowed him to make a qualitative leap in his professional life. “The Executive MBA was a turning point. I now face professional challenges differently than I used to”, he added.
Cristóbal Avilés graduated from the Executive MBA at the University of Barcelona in 2013. Since then, he has worked as an Institutional Relations Manager at Localret and Content Marketing Manager and Social Media Strategist at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). Previously, he had worked at companies such as Caixa Catalunya, La Caixa, IBM, Banc Sabadell, Allianz and the City Council of Viladecans.
“Studying an MBA such as the Executive MBA at the UB Business School gives you confidence to face all the challenges that come your way every year during your professional career. You gain access to knowledge about how businesses work and learn about many operational aspects of any company, which you can put into practice in your daily professional and private life”, Avilés declared.
“After an MBA, nothing remains the same. Every time that I get into a shop to buy something or drink coffee in a coffeeshop, I quickly analyse whether the business is profitable or not and how many product units they need to sell every day in order to cover the company’s fixed costs. It really changes one’s mindset”, he added.
