The University of Barcelona will host the 2nd Business Creation Workshop on March 16th 2017, from 9:30 to 14:00. The session, organised by the Doctoral School, is aimed at PhD students and will be taught by experienced professionals at Barcelona Activa, a public organisation that promotes economic development in Barcelona. Services, programmes and activities available for entrepreneurs to assess the viability of projects and business creation will be explained at the beginning of the session.

This will be followed by a practical workshop on Design Thinking, which allows entrepreneurs to develop projects that address problems for which people is willing to pay for and to do so in an efficient way. Notions such as Minimum Viable Product (MVP), value proposition and customer journey prototypage, among others, will also be present during the practical workshop, whose aim is to show how technology firms and startups work. PhD students at the University of Barcelona may register via the PhD student section on the UB Virtual Campus. The number of places is limited so students are encouraged to register as early as possible.
