Right to information on personal data processing

Purpose
To process your request of admission. If you provide your consent by ticking the corresponding box, your data will also be processed to send you news and information about postgraduate programmes and activities of the UB’s Faculty of Economics and Business.

Lawful basis
The legitimate basis for processing data in order to process your admission is to fulfil the mission to provide a public service. For the remaining groups, the legitimate basis for processing data is the execution of a contract.
The legitimate basis for processing data in order to send you information is your express, prior and informed consent, which you may choose to revoke at any time.
Data is only gathered for the purposes established above.

Period of storage
Your data will be stored for the time required to meet the purpose for which they were collected and to determine the possible obligations deriving from it.

Recipients
The recipients of your data are the University and the following data processors, specifically, Salesforce and The Rocket Science Group LLC. The international transfer of your personal data to these data processors located in the United States of America is carried out under the protection of EU-US Data Privacy Framework approved by the Commission Implementing Decision of 10.7.2023 pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the adequate level of protection of personal data under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Your data will not be transferred to third parties, unless under legal obligation.

Individual Rights
To access your data, to request the rectification or erasure of your data, to request the restriction or data portability, or to object to the processing of your data, write to the General Secretary’s Office at the postal address Secretaria General de la Universitat de Barcelona, Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 585, 08007 Barcelona or at the email address secretaria.general@ub.edu attaching a copy of your DNI or any other appropriate identity document.

If you feel that your rights have not been given appropriate consideration you may contact the UB’s Data Protection Officer by postal mail (Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 585, 08007 Barcelona) or by email (protecciodedades@ub.edu).

Control authority
You may also lodge a complaint with the Catalan Data Protection Authority.
