Students on MSc in Business Research at the Universitat de Barcelona Business School have finished the academic year this week after presenting their master theses. Completing the thesis has been the last stage of this one-year degree, during which they have developed skills, techniques and methodologies to conduct their own research. Some of the students will now request admission to the PhD in Business. Others will embark upon careers in research and policymaking in the public and private sectors.
In their master thesis students have analysed issues such as the size of companies, revenue management pricing, the theory of planned behaviour, gender and leadership, total productive maintenance (TPM) and total quality management (TQM), social accountability and coaching. The presentations took place last Thursday June 22nd 2017, thus ending the academic year 2016/18.
New students will enter the same classrooms at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Barcelona on September 2017. The average class group in the MSc in Business Research brings together about 20 students. Applications are currently open, but will close in just two weeks, on July 10th, 2017. The UB Business School strongly advises that you submit your application as soon as possible.
The programme consists of 60 credits of taught modules, including four compulsory subjects focusing on methodological foundations and quantitative methods, and eighteen free-elective subjects divided into six areas: Strategy and Entrepreneurship, Technology and Operations, Management, Accounting, Finance, Marketing and General Management.
