BIAP aims to have considerable social impact by addressing wide-spread scepticism about the force of evidence in decision-making within the public sphere. In recent years, governments and scholars have grown increasingly worried about the increase of misinformation, pseudoscience, knowledge resistance, and conspiracy theories. These phenomena undermine trust in science, academia, journalism, democratic institutions, and the rule of law. This work package aims to bridge the gap between our research and society, and to foment good knowledge communication practices.
