Former BIAP PhD student J.P. Grodniewicz wins SONATA award, a three-year grant from the National Science Center in Poland.

Research project: ‘Therapeutic self-understanding’
In the project, J.P. will be combining threads from the philosophy of mind, philosophy of psychiatry, and epistemology to get a better grip on the nature of self-understanding and its role in our mental health and well-being. Moreover, assuming that psychotherapy is, at least in part, a process of acquiring new and deepening one’s existent self-understanding, he will appeal to psychotherapy as a case study.
