INVESTIGATION PROJECT

DEMOGRAPHIC MODELIZATION OF EUROPEAN POPULATIONS OF HIERAAETUS FASCIATUS. APPLICATIONS TO THE CONSERVATION.

Project of the National Plan of R&D&i of the Ministry of Education and Science.

Research targets: Demographic modelization of European populations of Bonelli’s eagle H. fasciatus. Metapopulation analyses of demographic parameters, relations, phylopatry, territorial quality and implications in the conservation.

Tasks: compilation of information and creation of data bases. Construction and analysis of population models. Work with GIS and remote detection. Complement of field work. Writing of works of investigation, information and publications.

Insertion team: team with Ph.D. investigator, Msc bachelor and project director. Collaboration with other investigation team and possibility of stay in a foreign Laboratory of Study of Populations.

Academic level to reach: Master in Experimental Biology. Doctoral thesis possibility.

Candidates requirements: Bachelor of Biology or Environmental Sciences. Essential to be able to have option to FI or FPI scholarship. Academic file > 2, Capacity of own initiative, effort and teamwork.
