The
new proposal of extension of the Network Natura 2000 in Catalunya The
Department of Environment and Housing of the Generalitat de Catalunya
presented some few weeks ago the new proposal of extension of the
Network Natura 2000. In
relation to the adjustment of this new boundary to the conservation
necessities that require the Catalan population of Bonelli’s eagle, it
is precise to value as positive the increase of surface protected of the
nesting areas, specially in the province of Tarragona, and the inclusion
of connection areas between these. In spite of that, important areas of
hunting of many territories have not been included and, mainly, an
insufficient protection of the main areas of dispersion of the young
eagles is observed, specially in the province of Lleida. If
