The action of hunting

One of the characteristic features of the Bonelli´s Eagles is that they usually hunt in pairs. This system consists of different plans coordinated between both animals that allow them to obtain a greater efficiency  in the capture of preys.

Anyway, in the first months of the breeding period, while the female is hatching or has little chicks, the male usually moves and hunts alone to feed the family.

It may seem that eagles capture their preys easily, but this is not so, and they often have to make many attempts before succeeding.
