Cristina Garrigós (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia) will give the lecture "God Save the Queens!: the role of women in the punk scene of the 70s and 80s in the United Kingdom, the United States, Spain and Portugal". Coinciding with the publication of the book of interviews God Save the Queens: Pioneras del Punk (Barcelona, ​​2019), co-edited by Cristina Garrigós, Nuria Triana and Paula Guerra, the lecture will discuss the development of punk as an artistic and social movement and the contribution of women in this cultural revolution throughout the 70s and 80s in the United Kingdom, the United States, Spain and Portugal. Cristina Garrigós and Nuria Triana also co-edited the 23rd issue of Lectora: revista de dones i textualidad (2017) and coordinated the film cycle "Mujeres hechas de punk" in June 2018.
