Éric Fassin, professor of political science and gender studies at Université de Paris 8 - Saint Denis will teach two seminars. The first seminar, "Michel Houellebecq: género, postmodernidad y neoliberalismo", will use the oeuvre of French writer Michel Houellebecq as a starting point to establish theoretical links between literature and neoliberal logic in the creation of cultural imaginaries. The second seminar, "El caleidoscopio del género", will discuss contemporary questions regarding sex and gender. Both seminars will be taught in Spanish. This activity will take place within the framework of the research project "Nuevas visiones de la comunidad / Nuevas identidades gitanas, híbridas y sexualizadas".
