V Arendtian Springs International Lecture Cycle
The Seminari Filosofia i Gènere of the Consolidated Research Group (GRC) Creació i pensament de les dones is organizing the lecture by Bruno Clément entitled "L'amour est-il soluble dans le concept?". Bruno Clément is a professor at Université Paris 8, and he was the president of the Collège International de Philosophie (2004-2007) and a researcher at the CNRS (2009-2010). His main lines of research are the relation between philosophy and literature, especially as regards the style of philosophers, and Samuel Beckett's plays. Among his many publications, he is the author of L'œuvre sans qualités: Rhétorique de Beckett (1994), Le lecteur et son modèle: Voltaire-Pascal, Hugo-Shakespeare, Sartre-Flaubert (1999), L'invention du commentaire: Augustin, Jacques Derrida (2000) and the director, together with Marc Escola, of Le Malentendu: Généalogie du geste herméneutique (2003), and Emmanuel Levinas et les territoires de la pensée (2007) with Danielle Cohen-Levinas. The lecture will use the correspondence of Arendt and Heidegger to elaborate on the concept of love. The act is held as part of the V Arendtian Springs International Lecture Cycle (Primaveres arendtianes).
