Gender in skills evaluation in the Humanities: Complements for Lletra de Dona
This project is the continuation of two previous projects in REDICE 2008 (A0801-14) and REDICE 2010 (1002-21), in which the interdisciplinary methodological tools were developed that would offer adequate testing models for learning in visual environments and continuous evaluation for subjects in the Humanities. Firstly, we propose analysis and debate on gender in the evaluation of skills in philosophical thought and literary works, taking into account the two instruments for evaluation that the Lletra de Dona team has developed up to this point: the review and critical commentary. With this objective, our intention is to produce skills files that will be valid for interdisciplinary evaluation of subjects in the Humanities, over all in the fields of literature and philosophical thought. Secondly, we will consolidate the work that has already been started through group follow-up on the learning activities and evaluation tools developed by the Lletra de Dona team.
Objectives
The objectives proposed for this project, as well as consolidating the results already obtained and reinforcing the group activities of the teaching team, are:
- To analyze and debate about gender as a specific skill in the evaluation of subjects taught in the Humanities, overall in the fields of literature and philosophical thought.
- To create files for the definition of learning activities, in which the related skills, the desired results as well as how this reflects on the evaluation of the activity are specified.
- To consolidate the instruments for evaluation developed up to this point by Lletra de Dona: the review and critical commentary. Along with the teaching team, we will also evaluate the possibility of creating new modes of evaluation exercises that would adapt to introductory level courses.
- To expand the corpus of reviews and critical commentaries on literary and philosophical works written by women in all time periods and languages in the section Lletra de Dona through the selection of the evaluation results obtained throughout the term.
