Subalternidades femeninas: la autorrepresentación identitaria como resistencia
The Seminari Filosofia i Gènere, of the Consolidated Research Group (GRC) Creació i Pensament de les Dones, has organized the thesis workshop for Mariana Espeleta (Universitat de Barcelona) who will present the research related to her doctoral disseration entitled "Subalternidades femeninas: la autorrepresentación identitaria como resistencia" (Femininine Subalternities: Self-representating identity as resistance). The thesis, directed by the professors Fina Birulés and Beatriz Ferrús, explores subaltern women's collectives that, within the Latin American panorama, emerge as subjects of resistance through identity politics that transform, dismantle and question dominant discourses using subversive strategies of appropriation. The thesis workshop, directed by Rosa Rius Gatell and coordinated by Georgina Rabassó, is an innovative teaching experience which consists in sharing the research trajectory during the doctoral dissertation phase.
