The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
- To acquire a broad base of knowledge in infectious diseases, with a particular interest in clinical care in low- and middle-income countries.
- Placing special emphasis on aetiology, the identification of clinical aspects and the use of diagnostic techniques and case management.
- The course is centred on the infectious diseases that cause the greatest disease burden worldwide, or that represent considerable challenges for the global health community.
