Arroyo Amayuelas, Esther
Huici Sancho, Laura
- Members of the legal profession in general.
- Final-year students in bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees who wish to specialise in European private law.
The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
- To increase and consolidate knowledge of European private law in an international framework.
- To understand the importance of legal education, in particular the constitutional aspects of European treaties and methodological issues in the study of private law.
- To become familiar with the special characteristics of European law and, in particular, contract law, intellectual property, data protection, and liability.
- To learn how private law could contribute to the completion of the internal market, and, more generally, European integration, and the impact that this could have on society and on people's rights (consumers and companies).
Students will participate in activities planned in the heart of the Jean Monnet Chair, in accordance with the commitment made with the European Commission, which specifically supports the idea of creating a course to deepen knowledge of European private law, given the lack of contents relating to this subject in regular bachelor's degree law courses (and other degrees) and in specialised master's degrees.
