GRECIL·Cognition is a section of the wider Cognition and Language Research Group (GRECIL, 2021SGR01102), a Universitat de Barcelona-Universitat Oberta de Catalunya interuniversitary research group. We are researchers and students of the Departament of Cognition, Development and Psychology of Education and the Institute of Neurosciences of the Universitat de Barcelona.
We are interested in the study of reasoning and its relation to language and learning processes. Our research focuses on topics such as cognitive biases, causal induction errors, the cognitive basis of paranormal and pseudoscientific beliefs or biased probabilistic reasoning and decision making, as well as the development of intervention or debiasing techniques aimed at overcoming these phenomena.
