Catalan Language Promotion and Sociolinguistics

The objective of this area is to promote the use of Catalan in the activities of faculty and research staff and administrative and service personnel and in the information about the university and the work of its representative bodies beyond the university community. The area for Catalan Language Promotion and Sociolinguistics is responsible for the following:

• The provision of information on language legislation and rights
• The retrieval, treatment and publicising of sociolinguistic data
• The coordination and organization of Catalan language learning activities (in Catalan)
• The publicising of language learning services, resources and activities
• The provision of the program Language Resources for non-Catalan-speaking students
