Intensive A1 and A1 + A2 Catalan courses
The enrolment period opens on 16 May 2022. You can enrol online or in person at the Language Services office. The courses are mainly aimed at university students from outside Catalonia who want to come to study, but they are also open to anyone who wants to start learning Catalan.
Catalan courses: Basic 2 (A2), Elementary (B1), Intermediate (B2) and Advanced (C1)
The enrolment period opens on 16 May 2022. You can enrol online or in person at the Language Services office. Courses are open to UB students and the general public.
Enrolling online
For levels A1 and A1 + A2, you can access the enrolment procedure via the link next to each course.
For levels A2, B1, B2 and C1 you should send an email to inscripciocursos.sl@ub.edu indicating the course in which you wish to enrol. If you do not hold a certificate from the Language Services you will need to provide the certificate attesting to your successful completion of the level that comes before the level you want to do. If you do not have any certification of Catalan language learning, you will need to take an online level test.
Places are limited! You must complete the enrolment process to ensure a place on your chosen course.
Enrolment in person
If you wish to, you can enrol in person at the Language Services office. In this case, you must make an appointment in advance by contacting administracio.sl@ub.edu.
Levels A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2: if you do not hold a certificate issued by the Language Services, you will need to provide the diploma or certificate for the previous level. If you do not have any certification of Catalan language learning you will need to take a level test. To receive the link to your level test, you should send an email to inscripciocursos.sl@ub.edu.
Before the course begins
A few days before the course begins, you will receive an email with the necessary information.
Access tests
If you want to take a particular course and do not have a certificate attesting to your completion of the previous level, you will need to take a level test. Students who enrol online and are required to take a level test will be sent instructions on how to proceed. Level tests are held throughout the enrolment period and consist of a short written composition, a multiple-choice test and an oral test.
