The Center for Research in Economic Policy (GKK) was formed in 2003. The team consists of a network of professors and Ph.D. students working in different departments of the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Pécs. Main fields of research: empirical as well as theoretical research in regional innovation, entrepreneurship, geography and macroeconomic growth directed towards an increased understanding of the forces governing knowledge based economic development and of the economic impacts of various policy measures promoting such development. Researchers joined GKK have already been published widely both internationally and nationally in the fields of regional innovation, entrepreneurship and macroeconomic growth. EU projects:

  • Complex macro and regional model building for the ex-ante macroeconomic analysis of economic impact of the second National Development Plan (2007-13) on the Hungarian economy (EC funded project);
  • International comparison of regional effects of universities in Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia (EU INTERREG project).
