Solidarity and international aid
The foundation Solidaritat UB was set up in 1996 in order to promote solidarity and
to encourage UB members to take a more active part in community projects.
It seeks to organise aid action for the strengthening
and defence of human rights.

The University of Barcelona Library
The library houses almost 2 million books, most of which are available for consultation,
and a stock of more than 37,500 specialist journals, 7,245
of which can be consulted online; it also offers a wide range of
information services.

Your card will identify you as a
member of the University and will help you carry out
a whole range of transactions on the campuses of the

Other activities
UB Sports
This is one of the largest sports
complexes in the city, occupying almost 100,000 m2, and providing UB members with comprehensive health and fitness facilities.
Cultural events
Great importance is given to cultural events at the University. Many activities
are organised for all members, and there is a wide choice
of events to choose from.
UB Alumni Association
Providing a service to the university community and all its alumni, since the year 2000 the UB Alumni Association has helped to reinforce the ties between the university and all those who have studied there. Alumni Association membership enables former students to keep in touch with the UB and have access to all the services it offers.

In nearly all the university
faculties and schools, students can find reasonably
priced food at the on-site restaurants and cafeterias.
In addition, students can use our central canteen set
in an extensive garden on the Diagonal Campus.
The Economista Cooperative Bookshop
You can join the cooperative
either when paying your university registration fees
or by contacting the bookshop directly.
The University Odontology and Podiatry Clinics
We offer you odontology and podiatry services supervised by our teaching staff.
